Who we are
Jacob runs point for JT Collective. He developed a love for carpentry in high school, building custom kitchen cabinets. He later grew his experience to include general construction, finish carpentry, electrical, roofing, glazing, superintending, and more. He has a knack for attention to detail, and has always found joy in working with both his head and his hands.
John is a highly skilled, third-generation carpenter with almost two decades of experience as a residential home inspector. He has his plumbing, electrical, and general contractor’s licenses all in his bag of tools. He’s the Optimus Maximus of carpenters, and brings uncompromising experience and integrity to the team.
Our Story
The Dream
Owners Jacob and Thaïs, along with their four children, lived in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. While managing AirBNBs in several California locations, we began to dream of creating custom tiny homes on wheels. We were excited about how tiny homes on wheels can provide unique opportunities for housing, as well as vacation homes and rentals.
Our Start
We started building our first tiny home in an old 800 sq ft barn on family property in Tollhouse, CA, with no power or cell phone service. It was certainly an adventure, challenge, and blessing, but several dreamy tiny homes became a reality in this old barn, and we are thankful for the start it gave us!
Where We Are Now
Now we are building tiny homes in a 4,300 sq ft shop in Clovis, CA (that has power and reception!) located conveniently off of highway 168. Stop by to meet us and see the progress on the current tiny home.
